New Vice-president appointed
Recently, VitaK has appointed Dr. Egbert Smit MBA as its new vice-president. Dr. Smit (39) studied Molecular Biology and Biotechnology at the Groningen University and completed his PhD thesis at the University of Amsterdam in 2002. Since then he has worked on a broad range of projects both in academia and in business, most recently as Chief Technology Officer for another Maastricht University spin-off company. Dr. Smit obtained his MBA majoring in Product Development & Marketing in 2009 and will put his combined research and entrepreneurial experience to good use to ensure continued success for VitaK.
